Andrew has been Managing Partner of Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC) since 2019.
He has 20 years’ experience in venture capital with Physic Ventures in San Francisco, True North Venture Partners in Chicago, and CIC.
Andrew began his career as a physicist performing research in batteries, fuel cells and solar energy and has a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Andrew is passionate about continuing to develop and raise awareness of the UK venture ecosystem, which he has been doing through his role on the Council at UK Private Capital (formerly the BVCA) and exemplified in his recent appointment as co-lead on the UK Government University spinout review (Nov 2023) by the Treasury.
Andrew manages CIC’s investments in Prgamtic Semiconductor and Riverlane.
