Our theme for June is ‘Pivoting in a Marketing Role’
Tuesday 2 June 2026, 5.00–7.30pm | Refreshments and food provided
Building on the positive feedback from our previous meetups, we will be keeping the same format: informal networking paired with a short session on topics drawn directly from our members’ most common asks and offers.
We will be hosting a discussion with experienced marketing leaders exploring the many ways senior marketers evolve their careers, or change direction, adapt their skills, and make career moves that reflect evolving priorities. This could be moving between types of companies, changing sectors/industries, geographies or disciplines, or developing a portfolio career.
Speakers:
- Jo Lane, Lady Chocolonely, Chief Product Officer, Tony’s Chocolonely
Jo has held senior leadership roles spanning multiple geographies, launching, and scaling the innocent drinks brand across the Nordics, Netherlands, Belgium and Spain, before stepping into a Chief Marketing Officer role at Tony’s Chocolonely. Most recently she has pivoted from CMO into Chief Product Officer, demonstrating how senior marketing leaders can successfully broaden their remit beyond marketing into broader commercial leadership. - Sue Keogh, Founder, Sookio
After 16 years building and scaling Sookio as a full-service digital marketing agency, in 2024 Sue Keogh pivoted to relaunch as a communications consultancy – trading agency life for the freedom and focus of strategic advisory work with senior leadership teams and a leaner, more profitable model at a time of great change in the industry. Her journey offers a compelling first-hand perspective on what it takes to consciously redesign your career, set fire to the very structure you’ve created, and go deeper in your areas of expertise across healthcare, education, and innovation. - Patrick Pordage, Chief Marketing Officer, Monumo
Patrick’s career charts a fascinating evolution from nearly two decades in a leading technology consultancy to successive CMO and Head of Marketing roles across deep-tech and medtech scaleups, spanning surgical robotics and AI-driven electric motors. His experience offers a compelling perspective on how senior marketers can pivot between sectors – from consultancy to high-growth startups – and step up into the CMO seat after building deep expertise in complex, highly technical industries.
We’ll be exploring how careers evolve across sectors, roles, geographies or into portfolio paths, and sharing practical perspectives on what those transitions look like.
We’ll also hear briefly from Jules Minter from June’s Wish, a charity doing thoughtful work supporting people at the end of their dementia journey.
The purpose of this event is to provide Senior Marketers with a relaxed platform for networking and knowledge exchange, where they can connect with fellow leaders to both share their expertise and gain insights from others’ experiences. Designed for face-to-face networking for Marketing and Comms Leads, including CMOs, VPs, Heads of Marketing and Marketing Directors, from Cambridge and London.
