To help advise on its future progression, flexible IC producer Pragmatic Semiconductor has just recruited Dr. Venkata ‘Murthy’ Renduchintala. This high-regarded industry veteran will now serve as a non-executive director on the company’s board.

The wealth of experience that he will bring to the company is certain to prove invaluable, as it looks to establish itself as a major force in the global chip business – providing item-level intelligence to a multitude of high-volume, cost-sensitive applications. Murthy has previously spent lengthy spells in leadership positions at established electronics industry heavyweights like Qualcomm, Intel, Philips Electronics and Skyworks. As well as sitting on the boards of several other companies, he also holds an honorary professorship at the University of Bradford.
“On behalf of the Pragmatic board of directors, I wish to extend a warm welcome to Murthy as a non-executive director. His vast management experience and deep understanding of the semiconductor sector will bring invaluable additional perspective and strategic insight,” Erik Langaker, Pragmatic’s Chairman, comments.
“I am really energised to join the Pragmatic team at such an exciting point in its growth phase. I look forward to supporting David, Erik and the Pragmatic leadership team in fulfilling our collective ambition to make this company a significant and important part of the UK and global semiconductor industry,” Murthy adds.
“We are delighted to have an industry veteran of Murthy’s calibre join the Board in support of the company’s successful navigation of a period of hyper-growth powering AI-enabled IoT applications and servicing global customer demand. Murthy’s immense industry experience and track record of delivering at scale across technology, engineering and commercial disciplines will be of tremendous strategic value to both the board and the executive management team,” Pragmatic’s David Moore, concludes.
