Versius was featured on the BBC’s The One Show in a piece showcasing how Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust‘s Huddersfield Royal Infirmary (HRI) have drastically improved elective care waitlists through new initiatives and a range of innovative technologies.

Versius has supported the trust to reduce lists from 4,000 waiting over a year for treatment in 2021 to around 20 patients today, with the introduction of the system enabling them to operate on 30% more patients.

At Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, Versius is used for complex procedures across a broad range of surgical specialties including urology, gynaecology and colorectal surgery including surgery to treat bowel cancer.

CMR Surgical is proud to work in partnership with the HRI and wider Trust teams to enable more patients to receive the treatment they need, and to benefit from robotic-assisted minimal access surgery with Versius.
