The role
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to support to the Investment Team

  • You will coordinate their day to day activities and have an overarching understanding of their individual priorities and working styles
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a multitude of tasks and projects
  • You will also be on hand to provide high-level administrative and office support to the Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC) team to ensure the smooth running of the business
  • Work closely with the Head of Business Support and the Business Support team to ensure continuity of support for the Partners and wider team during periods of absence.

Primary responsibilities

  • Support the team’s work schedule, optimising the efficient use of time and resources through effective planning
  • Arrange meetings, travel, accommodation and facilities
  • Prioritise and manage multiple requests
  • Prioritise and manage your workload
  • Demonstrate collaboration and best-practise
  • Meet and greet guests, arranging refreshments and lunches
  • First point of contact for high-level contacts
  • Project coordination
  • Provide administrative support in respect of CIC’s investment portfolio and new investment opportunities
  • Minute taking
  • Event management
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support functional projects

IT

  • Updating and designing PowerPoint presentations
  • Supporting the team with administrative tasks including use of Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SharePoint

Day to day running of the office

  • Maintaining the condition and layout of the office
  • Maintaining files, records and archives, both electronic and paper versions, including confidential papers
  • Answering the telephone and taking messages
  • Building rapport with co-workers throughout the Hauser Forum to manage meeting rooms, car parking, facilities, et cetera

Support and liaise with the Head of Business Support, specifically in relation to:

  • Arranging Board, Investment Committee and other meetings
  • Other duties, commensurate with the level of this post that may be required from time to time

Experience and qualifications

  • Essential: Educated to A-Level, equivalent or above
  • Essential: 3+ years PA/EA experience
  • Advantageous: Professional Services background

Compensation 

  • Competitive base salary, circa £35,000 depending upon experience
